Statement: What I always wanted to tell the world about collaborative mobility
Yes we can! We don’t need to act like a rabbit caught in the headlights. With collaborative mobility a lot of traffic problems can be solved. Delve into the fascinating world of collaborative mobility!
Dream scenario: How I wish the mobile world looks like in 2060
Quiet, light and fun.
Mobility in 50 years is quiet and does not disturb anyone. It is slow, pleasant, active (or electric) and only needs little resources.
In 2060 it is very easy to combine different means of transport and to share them. The vehicles are light and energy-saving.
Mobility isn’t noticed as a problem anymore, but it is fun. It is diversified, communicative and yes, simply funny.
My TOP-moment: In my eyes the biggest success in the history of collaborative mobility
My Top-Moment is the invention of Call a Bike, which took place around the turn of the millennium. Christian Hogl revolutionized the bike rental outlet with a brilliant concept and bike sharing has risen explosively since. Today there is a multitude of good bike sharing models (even better ones will be developed) and very new forms of bicycle use, in combination with other transport means, have been established.
My personal mobility behaviour: How I move privately
My personal mobility behaviour becomes more colourful everyday. I love cycling and am moving more and more in a multimodal way.
Personal experiences with collaborative mobility: An incident which stayed in my mind
I started three years ago with car sharing in my neighbourhood. The concept worked and it functions better today than I dared to dream.
The incident that sparked my interest in shared mobility solutions:
In 1988 I started my studies and in the mean time the first modern car sharing initiatives launched. The car sharing concept fascinated me and it still does today.
Ready for action: If I could, I would next…
… make all cars car sharing capable, equip the driving licence with a chip with which I could make use of all public cars and bicycles, reserve public parking spaces for public cars and remove all incentives for private cars. Instead, I would support standards and platforms for collaborative mobility and stand up for open-source solutions.

The Business Idea in summary:
Caruso pursues the approach of peer-to-peer car sharing, which is car sharing by equals. Members of a group can set the rules under which each other takes the economic responsibility for the car. Caruso links companies and private people and allocates auxiliary means that facilitate car sharing in everyday life (or enables it). In this way car sharing becomes possible and successful even in rural areas.
